here.
If you are interested in any of the trees or wish to know more about the full list of trees then please get in touch with me on my mobile phone.
Our on-line Bonsai shop sells trees, bonsai pots, bonsai soil and bonsai tools. We also do special Bonsai trees to order. Let me know what you would like and I will whizz a photograph across to you when I track something suitable down. If you would like to buy anything in the meantime, please take a look through the Shop, and call me with your order - Telephone: 07792 121913
We use all of the products that we sell on our own show trees e.g. akadama potting medium, and won't sell second quality materials. Many of our customers are Bonsai enthusiasts who have gathered enough knowledge to recognise the quality and value in our products.
Keeping costs down is important these days so if you live close to any of the gardening shows that I attend regularly we can arrange that you pick up your supplies at the show which also gives you an opportunity to view our award winning Bonsai display. Click on the Bonsai Events page to find out when I attend a show close to you
Some Bonsai Trees have been in the care of their owners for years and are reputed to be
hundresd of years old. Japanese Bonsai Masters spend a life time honing their skills in the art of
Bonsai and go through an apprenticeship in the earlier part of their career. If you would like to learn some of the skills used by the
Bonsai Masters and use them caring for your own trees which could compliment a Japanese garden then come along to one of the
Bonsai Training Workshops that
we regularly hold through the year. The courses are inexpensive and a great way to begin
learning what may become a passion. We provide Bonsai workshops for all skill levels and a great day
is guaranteed for anyone attending.
Note - We can provide vouchers for a days training which can be presented to someone special in your life on those important occasions.
Bonsai Holiday
We now provide a service for all bonsai enthusiasts - a holiday for your bonsai. Well not so much a holiday as boarding your bonsai trees out with us while you go on holiday yourself. Bring your bonsai to us and we will care for them in our bonsai facility at Baldersby,
watering and tending them on a daily basis whilst you are on your holiday without having to worry whether or not it is raining to water your trees while you are away.
More about Bonsai Trees
Bonsai is thought of as a Japanese art form. Indeed bonsai trees in Japan tend to be passed down through the generations
of families, members of those families being taught bonsai care and maintenance from a young age. The first recorded miniature trees however were recorded
in China hundreds of years before the Japanese "borrowed" another bit of Chinese culture and adopted it as their own.
Nowadays if you travel in the east you will find that many eastern cultures have adopted bonsai and many houses proudly display their
bonsai trees
such as the Japanese Black Pine as garden ornaments.
I am currently working on some pages to add to the site (although I am very busy as this is the gardening show season), my newest additions will be a couple of pages on Bonsai Styles and some advice on where to buy bonsai which I am working on at the moment.
If you have some ideas yourself for content that you would like to see on the web site then please don't hesitate to get in touch with me.
I hope you enjoy my website, gallery and blog, they may be small - but beautifully formed!
